I have heard about Purity Balls for fathers and their daughters but I never attended any so I don't know much about them. Is wearing a diaper under your dress the most embarrassing thing?
I hate that sound.
Everything I had on for my baptism was new. I did have plastic pants over my cloth diaper. They were a little large. larger than they had to be. They did crinkle. I tried not to move too much. I don't know if anyone saw them or not. A lot of people did see me without my christening dress but that was just family, my Godparents and our minister in private.
Most children are baptized as babies but I wasn't until I turned 12. I am now 13. I have an incontinuence problem so I would have had to wear my diaper anyway but for my baptism I was put in a new cloth diaper. My bra was taken off and she put me in a little frilly white undershirt and white ankle socks with lace ruffles. This was done to show me as being symbolicly an infant before God. Of course I got a long white christening dress and white shoes too. It was good I had the diaper on and that it held. I was so nervous I was dribbling pee through the whole ceremony.
I was the flowergirl in my cousin's wedding when I was 10. I was put into a cloth diaper and plastic pants before being put in my dress. I was baptized at the age of 12. I had to wear a cloth diaper again with plastic pants and a little white undershirt. I still have to wear diapers and plastic pants at Easter Sunrise Services when we sit outside on a hill as the sun comes up.
