Hey, I'm here to tell you that you ARE doing the right thing. I am a practicing Muslim and feel like the happiest person on the planet! I owe it all to God. In Islam, we believe that God or "Allah" in Arabic gives every person a chance to find about Islam and you have stumbled upon it. You are obviously interested and God is shining the spotlight on you. It really is a peaceful, beautiful religion that many people enjoy and live their lives by. May God guide you to a prosperous, beautiful life. He has chosen YOU. And you have found God's love within. It is absolutely your choice. In Islam, you should follow your parents AT ALL times, even in the hard ones and if you are to become a Muslim one day, you should tell them. And if they get mad, then do not be angry at them because they love you and want the best for you, instead tell them why and how you found Islam. Hopefully, they'll understand...
