Downloaded results from my poll seem to be missing many items and newly entered results are not showing up in results when downloaded. The results csv files seem to be truncated after about 60 entries. Is there a reason for this? The stats and "view results" make me think that the data is still there. Pleas advise.

Were either of the two in grade 7-12 in high school?

Yes, one. As a sophomore, for cutting a class and leaving campus.

Was there a reason you were moved from a private to public school after 6th grade?

Our family moved and we couldn't at that time afford a private school. The Christian School that was there was not all that good. I'm sure my parents would have home-schooled if that had been more common.

Was the school paddle used in private or sometimes more than 1 boy paddled in presence of other waiting to be paddled too?

In public school it was private.

Your dad whip you into upper teen years too?

Yes, he did. My last was at age 17.

Yes, it was. Regrettably often in elementary school, but only twice in grades 7-12. I did attend a Christian elementary school but then was transferred to public school for Jr. High and HS. Both were in Alabama where the public schools paddled as well - many still do as a matter of fact. My elementary school was very much a believer in Biblical chastisement. Spankings were given by the teachers or the principal as they saw fit. The principal always spanked on the bare rear (incidentally, we did wear trousers as part of our uniform but they became irrelevant for most of the spankings). Teachers mostly did not spank that way, though a few times on underpants. Hand spankings were given regularly in grades K-2 and the paddle in 3-6. It was actually a great learning environment and we learned to respect our elders and each other. Public school was different. Paddlings were given by some teachers, some coaches, the principal, and the vice-principals. Always three swats to the seat of the pants - bending over, hands on a wall or desk. And yes a paddling at school always meant a spanking at home. In grade school my folks used their hand or a hairbrush but in later years I graduated to a belt. Mostly these were given on the bare behind save for the odd swat on the seat. In later years, the belt was sometimes administered with only my trousers down. Didn't seem to be much rhyme or reason for baring or not then. Papa took care of the discipline if he was home but, particularly when younger, Mother was never slow to administer needed discipline.

I've now four boys of my own, all 12 and under, that attend a Christian school not so different in philosophy from the one that I attended all those many years ago. God's word has not changed in the interim, you understand. I'm actually now on a parent board that is examining our school's policy and procedures regarding corporal punishment and my research and curiosity led to the creation of these two polls. I'm not taking the results too seriously however.
