A missed opportunity nevertheless! In my experience, female bank employees tend to wear rather sexy, tight skirted, business suits which must appear rather inviting to the voyeurist bandit. I suspect part of the kick for the robbers would have been to force the men to strip in front of the women knowing how humiliating and embarrassing that must have been for the victims. The female tellers and secretaries, having witnessed the fate of their male colleagues, must have experienced an anxious time during the robbery wondering if the robbers were about to turn their attention to them and order that they remove certain items of clothing. After all, that would only be fair, wouldn't it?

"The police did say that there had been 2 similar crimes in different parts of the UK in the months before this robbery where male staff had been forced to strip although usually only to their underwear and they were never taken as a hostage."

Just intellectual curiosity on my part, I guess, but why were only the men forced to disrobe? Were the robbers simply displaying old fashioned courtesy or did they anticipate resistance from the women if they were ordered to strip?
