What's wrong with sticking up for a girl who's standing up for what she believes is right, sticking up for a girl that is being harassed and sticking up for a girl who has received death threats over all of this?

What - do you think ALL guys feel that high school girls need to prance around school all day half-naked or something? Don't judge all guys by the typical male posts on Mr. Poll.

But what I can't get is this - if she doesn't like short skirts and spankies, why did she sign up as a cheerleader?

If you actually read any of the news articles and links, you would see that Lynsey does NOT object to wearing the uniform as a cheerleader. What she objects to is being forced to wear it IN THE CLASSROOM.

And if she suddenly stopped liking the uniform, why didn't she just leave?

In fact, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise, ''in the 2001-2002 school year, Norco High School prohibited cheerleaders from wearing their uniforms in class after teachers complained that the outfits were revealing and distracting.''

''The team switched back to the more revealing briefs at the start of this year,'' the newspaper said.

''Here I was trying to concentrate on what the teacher was saying and I had to try and tuck the skirt in between my legs to keep it from falling open,'' Lynsey said. ''My cheer adviser told me to wrap a sweatshirt over my lap, but why should I have to? Why is it only the cheerleaders who have to wear their uniforms to school? The football players don't have to.''

Furthermore, the uniform violates the school dress code (for the links to read it ... it does NOT make an exemption for cheerleaders). But this school year, contradicting the school dress code, cheerleaders were required to wear their uniforms IN THE CLASSROOM.

Lynsey was suspended for taping her school's dress to her cheerleading uniform (the school distict said that by her 'wearing' the dress code, she was out of uniform).

If some of the 'girls' who posted her want to expose themselves (see my links to their posts elsewhere), that's there business. But, it absurd to argue that all schools require cheerleaders to wear their outfits on game days for 'school spirit' reasons. There are plently of school related clothing items ANY student can wear to show support for their school without having to show their underwear and cleavage.

I especially laugh at people like Blonde Orbit, who completely contradict themselves elsewhere.

Is Blonde Orbit going to even try to make us believe that high school throughout Canada have cheerleaders waking around all day in below freezing temperatures wearing mini skirts and midriff-bearing tops?

But, none of these 'girls', (Cassidy, Valerie-Jan, Daphne, Kelly) or other people like Fat Mass have addressed the facts of this matter or my responses to them.

FWIW, although I don't agree with her at all (I enjoy cheerleading and I love my uniform - including wearing it round school in the daytime) I'm sorry if she has felt uncomfortable wearing her cheer skirt.

Well, sometimes, if people would read more just the headlines, they'd understand that there's more to the story than what initially meets the eye.

The reason why 16-year old Norco High School varsity cheerleader Lynsey Stanfield is embarrassed about her cheerleading outfit is because school official insists that she also has to wear the skimpy outfit in the CLASSROOM on game days, allowing the male teachers and boys in her classes to enjoy looking at her all day long!

Two slits in her blue-and-white skirt expose Lynsey's thighs, as well as her panty-like undergarments.

"It's like sitting in class with your underwear showing," an embarrassed Lynsey told reporters.

But, Lynsey was unsuccessful in arguing this point to the school district's male administrator, who otherwise wouldn't be able to enjoy the show, either!

Norco High School Principal Steve Harris even suspended Lynsey for one game for taping the school dress code to the uniform. Lynsey claims her protest was free speech. I think she's darn right! But, Harris must enjoy looking, too.

What the hell is the problem in Norco? It must just simply be that Norco High School doesn't have a girl's bathroom, which would otherwise have allowed the cheerleaders to change in private before the games. Sure must be embarrassing for them without a bathroom! Poor Lynsey and the other girls must even have to pee in the classroom, too!

Just what is it with these screwball California school officials?!

I've also posted a poll and the news story links about how another California school official lifted up dozens of high school girls skirts, pulled down their tops, exposing them as boys, other males gawked in amazement.

"They just lifted the skirt over my head," said a totally humiliated Stephanie Olson, an 11th grader at Rancho Bernardo High School.

"Everyone saw everything," said Kim Teal. "It was a big peep show."

"We were in front of the entire class, school officials were around, and even two on-campus cops," a blushing, embarrassed Stephanie Stewart told ABC News' Good Morning America.

Hey, Lynsey, you'd better watch out! The way things are going, it wouldn't surprise me if some nut in the Norco Unified School District decrees that all school girls, starting with you and the other female cheerleaders, must attend classes ''au natural'' from now on.

If you had bothered to read any of the my previous posts and the news links, links to her school code, etc., (obviously you did not), you would have already found the answers to your ''questions.''

Yes, Lynsey WAS forced to wear the uniform IN THE CLASSROOM to remain a cheerleader. It was NOT optional.

When she did and taped her school's dress code to the outfit, she was suspended for 'being out of uniform.' When she protested to the school board, she started being sexually harassed and received death threats, according to news reports. Don't just take my word for it; do your own Internet research for news stories about the whole affair.

I wouldn't put much stock into most of the ''girls'' comments here, unless you think most high school girls in America have such openly exhibitionist tendancies as expressed by Caddidy and Daphne. Besides, there are fewer than half a dozen of such opinions expressed so far, hardly 'scientific' of any real opinion sampling). Perhaps another reason why more 'modest' girls haven't expresses their opinions on this is that they are less likely to be looking for polls like this on the Internet.

Finally, you really should not need any ''valid answers'' to your ''questions'' from me in order to be able to render an opinion denouncing the sexually abuse and death threats Lynsey has now received -- that is, unless you condone such activity.

I'm sticking up for the rights of ONE particular girl who DOES want to 'live her life' WITHOUT having to be on put on DISPLAY and for that she has suffered sexual harassment, including DEATH THREATS as reported by news reports, simply because she wanted to both abide by her school's ACTUAL DRESS CODE and STILL be a cheerleader.

There is time for sports and time for learning. You CAN have both.

The girl in question does NOT object to the uniform. She objects to having to wear it in the CLASSROOM in VIOLATION of her school's own dress code.

But, obviously, you've got too much FAT ON THE BRAIN too for that to sink in.

Our soccer teams wear their shirts to school for every home game, and our volleyball team wears their entire uniform for home games. The basketball and baseball teams are the same way too. Also, under cheerleading skirts, the girls wear special garments SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to cover their panties and be viewed by the public, The cheerleaders at my school also wear their skirts to school sometimes, and I can tell you, girls in my school wear even shorter skirts with just their panties underneath. So, basicall, get the f-uck off your high horse and let girls live their lives. Also, how old are you, because you talk like a guy straight out of the 1950's.

I'm just saying that to say that there isn't any male coaches or male teachers sexually abusing girls or engaging in the voyeurism of undressed or sometimes totally naked girls is simply ignorant as well as inaccurate.
