I didn't vote for Obama... but I still think he's a far better politician than Palin. The scary thing with Palin is she doesn't even know basic things that the average citizen knows. Like what countries are part of NAFTA! That Africa is a continent! I mean, really!
The Democrats find it very easy to blame Nader for their ills. It couldn't have been the fact that:
1) Gore chose Lieberman as a running mate.
2) Gore didn't win his home state.
3) The supreme court appointed George Bush
4) Jeb Bush was governor and Katherine Harris sec. of state colluded to purge voters off the rolls.
5) "butterfly ballots"
6) Diebold voting machines
Seriously. Many of those that voted for Nader would NOT have voted for Obama and that is still the case this time around.
Obama has a lousy voting record:
supports expanded faith-based initiatives
voted in favor of the fisa bill with retroactive immunity
voted in favor of continuing the patriot act
voted in favor of the wall street bailout
supports tort reform
Obama is NOT a progressive. Nader is.
She's not qualified to be president and she's a complete extremist. Haven't we seen enough extremism in this world? I love how discussion of her daughter's pregnancy is off limits to the public, but everyone ELSE'S reproductive rights are supposed to be under the rule of the right wing telling us what to do with our own bodies.
Based on results so far, my comment to people is: DON'T BE AFRAID on Nov. 4th. Vote your preferred candidate and don't look to the lesser of 2 evils! We can put better people in office. Vote your conscience, not your fears.
Doh. Someone (or two people) voted once for each. Still, tho, they are trailing.
