I received corporal punishment until I was fifteen years old. We always got them after supper although we were informed at the time of misbehavior. After the dishes were clear, mom would say, "You know what its time for now, don't you." The offender had to get the strap and go to the TV room downstairs. The misbehavior was discussed and then I was expected to drop my jeans and underpants. I had to bend over the arm of the couch and take my licks. I sure did the spanking dance afterwards.

I have never seen a man in thongs- I am 46 but I am active in our Y but I have never seen anyone in a thong. I am not against anyone weraing what they wish as underwear- I have never heard a man even talk about it. Most everyone I see just wera white briefs. Evidently thiongs are not a universal trend. I would wonder if they would not be uncomfortable as one would have a piece of cloth going up your butt crack would you not ? I will say I think guys at our Y would bve surprised to see anyone wering a thong-- I guess they would just figure his wife must like that- I do not think he would be thought of as gay or thought less of. When I speak of thinking someone was gay-- I do realize we wold of course have gay members in our Y or workplace or neighborhood as would anyone or anyplace-- I did not mean it as a put down to gays Thanks

Has anyone ever been paddled and then had to expose the marks to teammates in the shower?

Back in the 50's and early 60's in jr high and high school- I got paddled on the bare butt a few times by the coach. He was the only teacher that did that nd only to the boys on the team or phy ed. It hurt, it was humiliating- as it was in front of other guys and I do not think that is how he should have disciplined . Other teachers did nt have to resort to that and their classes were well controlled.It has not traumatized my life- but I am glad things have changed. I never thought it at the time as the coach was very masculine- but other classmates in recalling it yrs later have suggested it may have been psycho sexual on his part. Any ocaches wish to comment-- Iwould be interested to know what former coach spankers now think? thanhks

I think it would be very easy for almost all AMericans to be clean. Regretably, this does not include street people,. perhaps some Native American s in reservations or others. For most of us- with plumbing in our homes- we can all take a daily shower. I happen to take two just cause I go to the Y most days-- but I would think over 95% of Americans have indoor plumbing so could take a shower every day. We are very lucky -considering many people in the world can not. I have taken youth from our church to Hondorus for mission trips- The thing I found hardest was the lack of indoor plumbing. I guess I am too Americanized in this regard.
