Three open potties in a row. Boys and Girls all had free range of it. We had an "unofficial" rule that the first one was for boys to pee in (with sometimes more than one boy going at once), the middle one for pooping (boys or girls), and the last one was the girls peeing potty. Boys who went in the girl's toilet were laughed at by other boys, it happened to me once. There wasn't any inappropriate play between the boys and the girls. The boys would sometimes compare their peepers, especially when they were learning the difference between circ and uncirc. Seeing a girl go pee for the first time didn't really shock me, I just thought "she goes like mommy".
