I agree a boy can look smart in a kilt and perhaps it is inevitable he will look a little feminine when parents start adding feminine accessories as in my case. It certainly made me sit quietly and behave politely and obediently. Some parents like Strictest Father may have initially put their son into a kilt to punish and humiliate but that is no bad thing and can be a more effective alternative to short trousers. Older boys in short trousers will usually wear a full school uniform but with a kilt or pleated kilted skirt there are opportunities for experimentation like adding white knee socks and strap shoes or even a nappy covered with plastic frilly knickers. It would be difficult to have a nappy under short trousers.

How old were you when your parents dressed you like this? Was it meant to be a punishment or did they just like to dress you in pretty clothes.

My parents, which was mostly my mother, initially put me into a kilt for the practical reason of my having to wear nappies and plastic pants. She had always liked the look of boys in kilts and this gave her justifiable cause but she thought I looked so sweet that she promptly added white knee socks and girls strap shoes and a girlish blouse which made me look distinctly effeminate. Within a year she had me wear girls ruffled plastic knickers and a short petticoat under the kilt and later a shorter kilt for certain occasions as she wanted to show off my hairless legs.

Not surprisingly I was never taken out in these clothes unless it was in the car to visit certain family members and a few approving friends of my parents. Otherwise I wore long trousers outside of the home. Thank God. To be honest I never resisted being dressed girlishly mainly because I was and still am submissive and generally obeyed my parents although I had childish tantrums and could be lazy which resulted in well deserved slapped legs and sometimes a smacked bottom.

We are talking past tense here. I am in my 40s so this treatment of having to wear a kilt was almost 30 years ago. Like you, I think my mother was right to put me in a kilt because a nappy clearly showed a bulge in my trousers while the kilt hid this. This happened when I was 16 and I was teased at school so my mother withdrew me and immediately implemented home schooling and immediately put me in a kilt. I cannot say I was that enthused about having to wear it because it made me look girlish especially since I often had to wear white knee socks and strap shoes. It was worn at home all the time but rarely outside (only when in the privacy of the family car). Otherwise I wore long trousers with pull-ups underneath which were far less noticeable than a nappy.

Like lots of parents in the 70's and 80's mine were keen supporters of corporal punishment and for them a kilt gave easy access to slapping my legs. More so it seems than wearing short trousers as the kilt could be raised to expose the backs of my legs to the crotch. It meant a short sharp shock with a leather strap or a firm hand. The one advantage over wearing short trousers was that once the hem of the kit was lowered back to the knees one could not see my red legs unless I was wearing a short kilt.

I do not think a boy of 16 is too old to have his legs slapped and if I had a son of this age I would definitely consider using this punishment. A lot of posters here seem to have their legs slapped way past 16. I was dressed in a kilt until I was 22 and my legs were slapped throughout the six years I wore one. I never felt this was abuse and never questioned the right of my parents to punish me this way. It did me good.

I developed urinary incontinence at 16 and had to wear nappies at all times. My mother removed me from school because I was teased by the other boys and had me home schooled. To hide the bulge of my nappy I was made to wear a kilt with girls white socks and strap shoes so I looked very much like a sissy. My mother later added a short petticoat under my kilt and other girlish accessories.

As well as short trousers the wearing of kilts is a great aid to the smacking of the backs of the legs and can even be better. I developed urinary incontinence at 16 which resulted in my having to wear nappies and being home school. My mother kept me in a kilt as it was easier to change me when I was wet and also allowed her to slap the backs of my legs when needed.
