This poll was a very fun time-killer. It felt like a Choose Your Own Adventure story.

Bill Nye had no idea what he was talking about. He gave no support whatsoever for evolution, instead trying to discredit creationism. He ignored every question Mr. Ham asked him, and also ignored any information inconvenient to his theory. Ken Ham brought up much evidence in favor of creation that Nye simply ignored because he couldn't refute it. Nye dipped so low as to openly mock creationism, and also insinuated that all Christians were stupid. In contrast, Ken Ham kept a respectful and professional attitude at all times. Also, Nye had no regard for the rules. When asked to respond to a question in one word, he rambled on for at least ten seconds before being stopped. So, yes, Ken Ham definitely won over Bill Nye. I will be happy to debate this with anyone, provided they agree to the following: Keep a civil tone at all times. No mocking, and no sarcasm. No ad hominem or straw man fallacies. That means no personal attacks, and no exaggerating my statements. If you have to twist what I say in order to find something to refute, you don't have any real rebuttals.

Do you use eBay, Sam? If so, you'll be aware that eBay is strongly linked to PayPal. Every seller accepts that method of payment, though some will allow other methods. So you've got those who prefer PayPal, and those who require it. America was founded as a Christian nation. Of the 55 delegates to the 1787 Constitutional Convention, 49 were Protestants, and two Roman Catholics. However, our Founding Fathers believed in freedom of religion- even for non-Christians. Thus, the First Amendment states that no national religion- even Christianity- may be established. In other words, Congress can't require every U.S. citizen to follow one religion. But, the 1st Amendment DOES NOT prohibit the government preferring one religion over another, as long as followers of all religions are treated equally. America was predominantly Christian, but you weren't required to be Christian. Saying that preferring Christianity equals requiring it is just as ludicrous as saying preferring PayPal equals requiring it.

You are right about that, gorangle. "He said he believed in the god of Baruch Spinoza, >>>but not in a personal god<<<, a belief he criticized. He also called himself an agnostic, and criticized atheism, preferring he said 'an attitude of humility.'" That comes from Wikipedia, which cites a book called "Einstein: His Life And Universe". So no, Albert Einstein was not a Christian. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_views_of_Albert_Einstein

I'm not arguing with you, gorangle. I went through this before with shaun h, and got nowhere. I have better things to do than argue with closed-minded people. But here's two things I'd like to say: "See elsewhere in this blog someone else's opinion of why the bible is a worthless source of the truth." First, what blog are you talking about? Second, that is someone's opinion, you said. Not fact.
