There really is no reason for boys to wear shirts (or shoes) in p.e. I did p.e. right through secondary school shirtless and barefoot and it just felt right to be free and unencumbered with unnecessay kit.

Ross - I agree nude p.e. would be healthy and avoid sweaty gym clothes but I think my school got it right - just a pair of shorts for boys inside and outside; summer and winter.

Not a bikini but I used to do cross country at school in shorts - barefoot and stripped to the waist - a couple of times running barefoot in snow - no problem if you keep moving.,
