(sorry -- I accidentally deleted my other comment)

There is an epidemic of grown adults who apparently never learned basic spelling, grammar and punctuation rules that they should have learned (and maybe did but forget) back in elementary school!

I'm not talking about people who were born in another country and learned English as a second language. They have a valid reason. I'm talking about Americans who were born and raised here but who talk like they never passed 5th grade!

For example, most people don't seem to know the difference between "every day" and "everyday", which is so damn SIMPLE I don't understand how so many folks get it wrong. Also, there's "your" vs. "you're", "whose" vs. "who's", etc. And then there's the BIZARRE compulsion some folks feel to add an apostrophe when making a word plural. Again -- elementary school!! If you have one photo, you do not have two photo's! You have two photos! You only use an apostrophe to show possession. And I won't even get into how people can't spell their way out of a paper bag; that's truly pathetic, especially in this day and age of spellchecks!

sigh And yes, I actually do make my living correcting these boo-boos. I'm a proofreader/copy editor! ;D :)

I wouldn't go so far as to say U2 sucks, but I would say that I don't really enjoy or identify with their music anymore.

They were GREAT in the 1980s, and I'll always love and admire their songs from that decade. They were "okay" in the 1990s, with a few songs I really enjoyed.

Aside from that, they don't really do anything for me anymore. I don't like the musical directions they've taken; it almost seems like they've "sold out." Or maybe just changed too much for me. I guess I'll always be a fan of "Celtic anthem rock". :) Speaking of which, anyone remember The Alarm?

This poll is a good example of the word "inane" chuckle If you don't know the word, you can take it in context, or look it up. It's not a bad word. Just funny.

Unless someone's been living in a cave their whole life, I think EVERYONE would know what fondue is! chuckle It's actually one of my favorite foods, but I don't make it often because we no longer have a fondue pot, and melting cheese in any other container just isn't the same. :(

You find Benicio similar to Brad?? We're all entitled to our own opinions, but personally I think that's like saying an apple is similar to an orange!

In truth, I don't find Brad Pitt drop-dead gorgeous. He is good-looking but nothing to write home about. However, I find Benicio Del Toro VERY unattractive! In fact, I always found him unpleasant looking. No offense to his fans. I just can't understand how anyone finds him attractive.
