The stripping part is not always reported in the newspapers. When I was robbed, the local paper mentioned that I was "shaken but unharmed" but didn't include that I was forced to undress or that I was tied up.

It wasn't much of a thrill for me, either. But I found your posting very interesting. After it happened to me, I wondered for a while why he made me take my clothes off. I thought maybe to control me, but tying me up took care of that.
He didn't touch me and he let me keep my underwear on so I don't think it was a sexual thing...even though he did seem to enjoy it.
I wonder if it was the thing you were talking about with the "smartly dressed", I mean I was dressed for work as a salesperson. I'm just not sure.
