No Purpling! And other church camp rules

I'm being interviewed to be the director of a church-owned campground that sponsors several camps for youth (ages 12-18) every year. Some of the kids think the camp rules are overly restrictive and should be modified. What do you think? Help us decide. In the following questions, "Girls" are females 12-18, "Boys" are males 12-18, and parents are parents of girls and boys who might be sending their kids to camp.
NO PURPLING! Our number one camp rule is "No Purpling!" Girls are pink, boys are blue, mix pink and blue and you get purple. "No Purpling" means that boys and girls can't be in each others rooms at any time for any reason. Should this rule be changed?
I'm a GIRL: Boys and girls should not be allowed in each other's rooms at any time.
I'm a GIRL: Boys and girls should be allowed to visit each other's rooms, but only until Lights Out.
I'm a GIRL: Boys and girls should be allowed in each other's rooms as late as they wish.
I'm a BOY: Boys and girls should not be allowed in each other's rooms at any time.
I'm a BOY: Boys and girls should be allowed to visit each other's rooms, but only until Lights Out.
I'm a BOY: Boys and girls should be allowed in each other's rooms as late as they wish.
I'm a PARENT: Boys and girls should not be allowed in each other's rooms at any time.
I'm a PARENT: Boys and girls should be allowed to visit each other's rooms, but only until Lights Out.
I'm a PARENT: Boys and girls should be allowed in each other's rooms as late as they wish.
If the "no purpling" rule were abolished altogether (not likely, but I'll ask anyway), it means that boys and girls could share rooms as roommates. There are usually 4 to 6 kids in a room. What kind of choices as a camper or as a parent would you make?
I'm a GIRL: I would only stay in a room that was all girls.
I'm a GIRL: I would stay in a room that had both boys and girls in it.
I'm a BOY: I would only stay in a room that was all boys.
I'm a BOY: I would stay in a room that had both boys and girls in it.
I'm a PARENT: I would not allow my child to have a roommate of the opposite sex.
I'm a PARENT: My child may have roommates of the opposite sex if he/she wishes.
What do you think is a bigger problem in boys and girls sharing rooms: That there would be too much freedom, or not enough?
I'm a GIRL: Too much freedom -- there would be nudity, making out, and sex, someone would get pregnant and our youth pastor would lose his job
I'm a GIRL: Not enough freedom -- I don't want to change clothes or talk about "girly" things with boys in the room.
I'm a BOY: Too much freedom -- there would be nudity, making out, and sex, someone would get pregnant and our youth pastor would lose his job
I'm a BOY: Not enough freedom -- I don't want to change clothes or talk about "manly" things with girls in the room.
I'm a PARENT: Too much freedom -- there would be nudity, making out, and sex, someone would get pregnant and our youth pastor would lose his job
I'm a PARENT: Not enough freedom -- I want my child to be able to change clothes in his or her room and talk about private things without the opposite sex present
DRESS CODE: We have a pool at our campground and our dress code is, no bikinis on girls and no Speedos on boys. Should this dress code be changed?
I'm a GIRL: No, keep the dress code as it is
I'm a GIRL: Girls should be allowed to wear bikinis and boys should be allowed to wear Speedos.
I'm a BOY: No keep the dress code as it is
I'm a BOY: Girls should be allowed to wear bikinis and boys should be allowed to wear Speedos.
I'm a PARENT: No, keep the dress code as it is
I'm a PARENT: Girls should be allowed to wear bikinis and boys should be allowed to wear Speedos.
DRESS CODE PART II. We have some member of the board that think that kids should wear only camp T-shirts (included as part of the cost of camp). And another member of the board has read an article saying it is good for kids' self esteem to wear minimum clothes: shorts only for boys, shorts and a camp tank top (included as part of the cost of camp) for girls. Weather permitting, what do you think the dress code at camp should be?
I'm a GIRL: Campers should be allowed to wear whatever they want.
I'm a GIRL: All campers and counselors should be required to wear camp T-shirts.
I'm a GIRL: Boys should be required to wear only shorts and girls should be required to wear only shorts and a tank top.
I'm a BOY: Campers should be allowed to wear whatever they want.
I'm a BOY: All campers and counselors should be required to wear camp T-shirts.
I'm a BOY: Boys should be required to wear only shorts and girls would be required to wear only shorts and a tank top.
I'm a PARENT: Campers should be allowed to wear whatever they want.
I'm a PARENT: All campers and counselors should be required to wear camp T-shirts.
I'm a PARENT: Boys should be required to wear only shorts and girls would be required to wear only shorts and a tank top.
IF THE DRESS CODE WAS CHANGED, what would you wear in the pool?
I'm a GIRL: A one-piece swimsuit.
I'm a GIRL: A bikini.
I'm a BOY: Board shorts, or any shorts down to my knee or lower
I'm a BOY: Regular shorts
I'm a BOY: A Speedo
I'm a PARENT: My child can wear whatever he or she wants in the pool.
I'm a PARENT: I would not allow my child to wear clothes that were too revealing (a bikini or a Speedo) in the pool.
I'm a PARENT: I would not allow my child to attend a camp where other campers were wearing bikinis or Speedos.
IF THE DRESS CODE WAS CHANGED what would you do?
I'm a GIRL: I would wear a tank top if that was the camp code.
I'm a GIRL: I would not go to a camp where I had to wear a tank top and boys were shirtless.
I'm a BOY: I would go shirtless if that was the camp code.
I'm a BOY: I would not go to a camp where I had to go shirtless.
I'm a PARENT: I would allow my child to go to a camp where the boys were shirtless and the girls had to wear a tank top.
I'm a PARENT: I would NOT allow my child to go to a camp where the boys were shirtless and and the girls had to wear a tank top.
There is apparently a Quaker church camp where the pond is clothing optional -- about half the counselors, boys and girls swim without suits in the pool and the other half wear suits. Boy-girl touching is strictly forbidden as are any sexual comments or horseplay. Campers are taught about the sanctity of the body and respect for the opposite sex. It is said to be a very wholesome experience. What would you do?
I'm a GIRL: I would not go to this camp!
I'm a GIRL: I would go to this camp but I wouldn't go swimming.
I'm a GIRL: I would go swimming but I would wear a swimsuit.
I'm a GIRL: I would go to swimming but I would wear shorts or bikini bottoms only.
I'm a GIRL: I would swim without a suit.
I'm a BOY: I would not go to this camp!
I'm a BOY: I would go to this camp but I wouldn't go swimming.
I'm a BOY: I would go swimming but I would wear a swimsuit.
I'm a BOY: I would swim without a suit.
I'm a PARENT: I would not let my child go to this camp!
I'm a PARENT: I would let my child go to this camp and make his or her own choice about swimming.
