Come on Guys... as the Pollster says - its time for us guys to get our skirts on - then walk out in them... with our heads held high !!!
Women overcome their clothing restrictions in the early 60's - and if they can do it.. then so can we !!!
I already go out in public wearing my skirts... and up to now, i've only ever had compliments.... So what are the rest of you waiting for ??? ... you've voted for the right to wear skirts..... so nows the time to do it..... and lets do it right NOW !!!

Yes - there certainly a lot of closed minded folks out there - men, more so than women.
However, things seem to be very encouraging on the whole - in fact, i'd go as far as to say... If us guys decided to wear our skirts openly, there wouldn't be any great problem for it to be totally accepted, in a very short period of time.... Maybe not in the workplace just yet - (that would take time) - but certainly socially !!
========== In Reply To ========== The most conservative people I know voted on here are the muslim women but We have people coming from several countries also and they don't necessarely answer those questions in the poll about nationality and religion. I have an idea just who those people are though. If you look at the number of votes for each question you will realise that it's hard to draw serious conclusions out of this other than the fact that those dinosaurian ideas regarding men and women are still alive and kicking in the minds of a lot of people.

I've just been taking a look at the poll results, and was very surprised to find this 31% of folks that have voted, think women are transvestites for wearing pants.
191 people have voted, so that means 61 of them think women are transvestites.
I think that will come as a big shock to the women that vote in this poll, when they come to view the results... frankly - i'm astounded by the totals...
The percentage of people that think men are transvestites for wearing skirts or dresses is 30%
195 that voted, so that means 57 people think men are transvestites.
As you can see - thet totals are virtually identical - but somehow don't see to fit in with the rest of the poll.... maybe there are more closed minded people than we first thought.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this ???

Its all very well to call them conservative - but aren't these the same group of people that agree with women being allowed to wear pants etc ??? ... They can be conservative when it suits their particular views... which in my book also makes them Hypocrites, who deal in double standards !!!!
Why can't these people open their eyes and face the facts, Society is changing, and becoming far more liberal.
Its time they changed with it, and left their old fashioned views in the closet, where they belong !!!

Well Penny, I was about to reply to you... But after reading the reply by the Pollster - there isn't a lot I could possibly add - I agree completely with everything he has stated.
Here's a couple of things though.....
There is one aspect to this debate that as yet hasn't been brought into play. Now, without trying to get too scientific here...
Both Males and Females are born with some of the other genders hormones... and a lot of guys are born with more female hormones than the average.
Its these guys that prefer the softer things in life... like silky clothing etc.... and at the far end of that scale - we get the guys that go for sex changes... because they feel they are women trapped in a mans body.
So you see - these Cross Dressers (although I prefer the term, "Choice Dressers) .. and transgendered guys etc...... simply have more female hormones... they are NOT the freaks closed minded people believe them to be... its simply a product of nature.
Then of course, ALL of us guys like the feel (and look) of their wives or girlfriends silky lingerie... and lets face it - there's a very thin dividing line between feeling the material on a woman's body... and actually putting it on ourselves.
Its also my considerd opinion - most guys have experimented with trying on lingerie at one time or another in their lives
