Small update on the back zip sleeper: I mentioned it fit very well - that is - until the first time I laundered it. Now it has shrunk some 2 inches (5 cm), so it's a bit short. but still quite wearable. I slept in it one night with a padlock on the zipper like I described above, and must conclude bfpro22 is absolutely right: I hardly notice it, even when lying on my back.
