"If you were on the winning team, how would you feel about eating the flesh from a fellow player from the losing team?"
Just saw this. Probably would not give it a second thought from a 'personal' point of view. He is dinner. Been raised to see it as normal- just as he was. Now from a gastronomic point of view- nice $%!@ or arms or whatever...
I meant would eating the player from the winning team be considered a reward for the winning team
So would the roasted captain of the losing team on the dining table, contributing to a successful victory banquet also be one of the rewards.
Odds I guess would depend on how often the practice is enforced and on whom were eligible to be on the dining table.
I'd be OK with being picked I think. If it's accepted practice chances are I would have witnessed it on televised sporting events or even one of my brothers picked. I'd go into each game knowing someone on that field will be slaughtered that night- maybe from my team, maybe from the other, and if my team loses and I'm the one chosen- so be it! I'd just strip off and await further instructions concerning my, um, role in that nights festivities.
Don't get me wrong! I think it would totally suck to be the one picked! But the rules are the rules and I signed on with full knowlege of the practice there for accepting the risk of being slaughtered.
"This is not a morality question. It is idiotic !"
