Hi Lizzie,
I'm the same - skirts and dresses, almost always above the knee, and bare legs. It's how I've been brought up, but I like it anyway :-).
I feel sorry for you having to go back to your studies. Personally I wouldn't have a problem with the uniform except that I think if they let you go bare legged it'd be more grown up. Or at least let you wear ankle socks and maybe fold them over so they basically disappear like trainer socks. It's not the cold legs that are the problem, it's having to dress like a kid. In fact I think bare legs are good because it shows you're strong.
I think infant circ is good because that way it's certain that the job has been done... no risk of the boy/man deciding in later life not to go through with it.
Congratulations Lizzie on ditching the trousers and jeans, and also going bare legged. IMHO it's a lot more ladylike to dress this way.
No way! Bare legs are better, especially in the winter.
