A straight person in a relationship with a transgender person would not be dating someone of the same gender. A transgender person's assigned sex at birth is not their "actual gender". Their actual gender is the one they identify as. Not all transgender people identify as a binary gender. Also, transgender is not a noun, it's an adjective. Please don't start polls on "controversial" topics (as you put it), without knowing anything about the topic.

You don't need to say "lover if you are married" and "male lover if you are bi or gay" or "female lover if you are bi or lesbian" or "your feelings towards men if you are bi or gay" or "your feelings towards women if you are bi or lesbian". Don't single people out. Besides, there's more possibilities to be dating someone of your own gender than bi or gay, like pansexual, polysexual, androsexual, etc. Just say husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, feelings towards men, and feelings towards women. We're just people, treat us like people.

You need more answers for each question or at least an "other" option with a text box. For example, in the question about finding out your kid was gay, I wouldn't "accept their lifestyle", because as a gay person I know it's not a "lifestyle." I would accept them and their being gay, and I would know it's not a choice.
