As I said: No spanking it school here - but a hint to the parents and I could count to feel it soon. If my hands or my bottom were more safe at home depended on the question, who is present: Punishments were given as soon as possible. If somebody beside family was there, the hands were given at least a part of the spanking immediately (rest followed when guest had left). If only family was there, it was mostly bottom and thighs. Exception: For offenses related to school, learning, studies, my hands always feel a part of the punishment and it was quite "effective", when my parents made me "sit down and write it again but this time without mistakes" right after I was given the punishment.
