Thanks for getting back to us. I have been out doing stuff instead of reading polls so I fully understand. I'm glad to hear things are improving on the lifestyle front, and camp was good. One question is whether you ever told your parents Rosa unzipped your pajamas, and if there were any consequences? Also I think as part of being more mature about your protection, and wearing back zips to help you follow the rules you do need to start wearing back zip pajamas when you have a sitter, regardless of what they might think.

Hi again, I saw your response the other day so I did a bit of research. First, to answer your question about sleepovers, the tape or thread on your zipper is not there to stop Rosa from unzipping you, only your willingness to follow rules does that. The idea is to just have something that will tell your parents if you unzip without permission, and remind you to be good. A plastic zip tie would also work since scissors or nail clippers can easily cut them. Since you mentioned it, why don't you wear back zip pajamas when you have a sitter watching you? You are not out in public, and you lose the advantages of not worrying about unzipping and just focussing on when, as you said. Regarding better pull-ups, I have seen ads on TV for Tens Overnight Briefs, which appears to be Goodnites for adults, so they are definitely worth a try. Also Northshore Care's website has tons of options. Since you use Abenas you could try some of the lighter Abenas like a level 1 or 2 pull on or tape on. I hope your parents go easy on you when you confess

Wow, you posted an update just as I was thinking of asking for one. I'm glad to hear you are feeling more relaxed and comfortable with your incontinence, and your "protection" rather than letting it upset you. Based on what you are saying it's not weird that you prefer Abenas over pull-ups, it's just practical that you choose something you know is reliable instead of constantly worrying about leaks. It's interesting that you are wearing back zip sleepers more because having the zipper "out of sight, out of mind" makes you more relaxed about using your diaper. Do you wear front zip sleepers much anymore, and have you been out in your back zip sleepers and Abenas much? Have you made any progress with your parents letting you change into night time diapers closer to bedtime, or at least getting a less obvious mattress protector? Also since it is getting to be that time, do you have summer camp plans? Finally, regarding Rosa unzipping you, I think offering to wear night time diapers and a locking zipper is overkill. By all means come clean with your parents about Rosa unzipping your sleeper and let them pick the consequences, if any. I think it would be sufficient to wear your usual back zip sleepers with Abenas whenever you visit in the day time and your night diapers if you are sleeping over and add something to keep you honest like a few stitches or a piece of patterned tape on your zipper cover for while. I think you should also look for something to replace Goodnites since they are obviously inadequate now, and you need something less bulky than your Abenas to wear under day clothes. I think there are heavier pull ups or thinner tape on styles that will hold one big wetting while still fitting under loose clothing.

Thanks for getting back to us with an update and the "my routine" poll report. I'm glad to see some progress with your parents getting you 2 piece pajamas and letting you watch R rated movies. Did you share the poll results with your parents? Given the tendency for misterpoll voters to choose the most extreme options, I can understand you not wanting to push your parents in the wrong direction. On a practical level, based on the poll and your recent posts, I have some ideas. First off, I don't think Goodnites work with pajamas anymore and you should just wear Abenas (or an equivalent) after 4:00 pm with either lounge pajamas or clothes that cover them. This gives you a bargaining chip to get your parents to let you change into your night diapers and back zip sleepers later. If you are, already wearing substantial protection then you shouldn't have to put on your overnight stuff until a half hour or hour before bedtime. Also since you're a year older, you deserve a half hour later bedtime, at least on a trial basis. I voted to leave your bedtime unchanged, but that was 6 months ago. I don't think cloth diapers are worth the effort for you. Since you have to wear plastic pants over them, the noise level is similar, plus they are at least as bulky as your current night protection, pinning them is an art, and you have laundry and diaper pail odor to deal with. On the bright side, there are options for less obvious mattress protection. You can get a waterproof matress pad with quilted padding over the vinyl layer which is almost undetectable.

Since you didn't mention it, have you gone on any school trips that involved a long drive or overnight stay? Also did you travel on the holidays and have to wear diapers and pajamas traveling and visiting?

Hi, it has been a while since you posted so I thought I would check up and see if you got 2 piece pajamas for your birthday and if anything interesting happened over the holidays. Also I would like to know how your "My Routine" poll worked out and whether anything has changed as a result? In some of of your messages you mentioned that you have been putting on lounge pjs and an Abena as soon as you got home from school, and most of the time at Rosa's. Has this become your normal at home wear on non-school days as well? I get the impression that you aren't really wearing Goodnites under pajamas anymore, just Abenas or night diapers. Hope you had a good holiday and answer soon.
