Hey, where's "Win Ben Stein's Money?"

I am a cat lover, but there is a broad range of what people consider "their cat" This is all the way from they specifiacally went out and procured a cat down to the cat was feral and just started showing up at thier house and they fed it and now it hangs around, totally outdoors. For this second type of cat, I don't necessarily know if it is cruel to leave it at the summer home, as this type of cat often will not like change of environment since it has its territory staked out, and the family taking it "home" with them for the winter and bringing it back each summer could traumatize it. The cat should stay wherever it's original home environment was. People who take vacations many months long should consider not having a cat, for the emotional well-being of the cat.
