My two nieces have been caught shoplifting chocolate from the local newsagents. They are 11 and 9 years old. My own daughter (11) knew what was happening but didn't say anything, she didn't take part but she knew it was happening. What would be an appropriate punishment, regarding this. It is a first time offence but it may have happened before and they not got caught. As it's school holidays leaving marks isn't going to be an issue. I would normally use the hairbrush, but the younger one maybe that is too much, and I'm considering the slipper for her? Should my own daughter get a hairbrushing or the slipper as she didn't take part fully? I normally spank bare from the waist down but considering total nudity this time. Just interested in what others would do.

Severity should depend on the offence. I think nettles is the best option rather than spanking her genitals. A couple of minutes with nettles in the bottom of her knickers should do the trick. I personally use the hairbrush for that age, it seems to get good results.
