He wears knee socks with his uniform this term and also will do after Christmas. But the summer term from Easter most boys wear dark blue ankle socks. He hasn't said anything yet about changing to longs.
Yes, like most boys he has grown up with at his school, he has always worn shorts.

My son turned 13 in the summer and has gone into year 8 at school. When they went to buy his new uniform his mother asked for long trousers for him, but he told her that all the boys in his year would be wearing shorts. Most of the boys up to about 14 are wearing shorts at the moment, though I suspect that many will start wearing longs soon now that the weather is getting colder. My son hasn't mentioned yet that he would like to wear longs.

My son, who has just turned 13 wears shorts with his uniform as do all the other boys in his class. When they went to buy his school uniform, his mother first asked for long trousers, but my son said the other boys would be wearing shorts and he wanted to as well. I think he looks really smart. The shorts they make now seem to be better tailored than those of a while ago.

My son told me this morning that the babysitter smacked his bottom quite hard yesterday evening. He said she put him over her knee and smacked him 6 times with a belt. I asked him why and he said they splashed bath water over her and made quite a mess in the bathroom which the babysitter had to mop up. So I told him it was well deserved and I asked him if she had spanked his sister and he said she hadn't and that was why it was unfair.

I have boy girl twins who turned 13 in July. They have bathed together all their lives. A few weeks ago my wife and I were going out for the evening so we asked the girl next door to come in and watch them. She asked if she had to bath them and I told her it was up to her. I also told her that they bathed together. When we got back home later that night, the kids were already in bed. The girl said that when it came to bath time and bed for them she asked if they would need any help. They both said they would, so she bathed them and got them to bed.
