I call total bull$%!@ on that little fetish story, Calaban.
I feel that was a good practice. Not only should it be brought back, it should be available for everyone to swim, not just men. Among naturists/nudists, at the resorts or peoples' private home pools they always swim nude (a shower first is mandatory), and the water quality is far better because there is no lint, dye, or detergent residue from swimsuits, or body filth from people who treat a pool like a bathtub. Plus, naturism and communal nudity treats nudity and the body as natural and beautiful, rejects the notions of shame and embarrassment regarding nudity or the body, and promotes treating each other with dignity, respect, and acceptance based on who someone is, regardless of what they look like and certainly regardless of what they wear. Swimsuits and the mentality surrounding them about hiding the body are illogical and irrational.
Same here. I won't swim if it's someplace I can't swim nude. Swimsuits are just too uncomfortable! It's far more natural and comfortable to swim with nothing at all on.
I don't have kids (and never will...can't stand 'em, personally), but if I did have kids, as a naturist I'd be raising them in a naturist household where the standard rule is that clothing is optional. And when their birthday parties rolled around, the clothing optional policy would remain in place. If people didn't like the policy they could simply not attend. Alternatively, if we lived in or regularly attended a naturist resort/community, we could have a clothing-optional birthday party there and then a regular textiled party with extended family somewhere else.
Of course, as I'll never have kids it's kind of a moot point (and I couldn't place a vote in the poll due to that).
Has anybody found any other polling website that makes a good alternative to Misterpoll? Considering how this site is now broken, plus the caliber of members that have overrun the place, this site has gone to $%!@.
