Hi Kate, thanks for telling yet more fun stories! Let me see if my image of your Anorak is correct: these are jackets that you pull on over your head, with usually only a small zipper in front at the neck to get your head through? Nowadays such jackets often have a side zipper at waist level to get in and out easier, but I guess yours didn't. Do you have any idea why these crotch straps were added? Especially for boys those might be uncomfortable I'd think?

Ah, so you have been modifying clothes too to make them harder to take off / more confining! I've been doing a lot of that over the years. Wearing those, and sometimes adding padlocks to the closures, you could say I've been stuck in clothing way more often, but since I was doing that deliberately to myself, you can't really call it being stuck. My latest efforts in that area was when my newest pair of overalls arrived. I found these Asos leather look overalls with back closures , and they really interested me, so I ordered them, and received them a few days ago. As expected, you don't need to undo the buckles and the straps slide of your shoulders easily, but I hoped I could cross the straps above the buckles to prevent that. It was a good idea, but too good in the sense that I didn't manage to close the buckles then. The alternative I came up with, was a small tie wrap between the buckles: me in the overalls with a tie wrap connecting the back buckles. Still it wasn't easy to get them to close, but in the end with two loud clicks (they're metal) I was in. Unclipping them takes some wiggling, but works too. After I got some more experience with the buckles behind my back, I also managed to get the buckles closed with the straps crossed, but then the buckles are on top of each other and it's less comfortable, so for now I'm sticking with the tie wraps.

I've even worn them outside to go shopping: with a jacket over the top part they're just black pants to the occasional observer. But I don't think I'll be wearing them openly with the top uncovered.

Hello Raina, I'm so sorry for you! That is definitely a lot to deal with, and no surprise that you have issues after what you describe about your childhood. But I'm glad to hear you're working with a therapist. I know from experience that such things take time, so hang in there and be kind to yourself if your progress may seem slow. I'm confident that once you can be more accepting of your situation and get some more confidence because this is not your own fault, the wetting will get better too, but even if it doesn't working on anxiety, trust issues, acceptance and self-confidence will be worth it. success in the new year, Carg85

Please take my poll about wetting / soiling accidents that happened because you couldn't get your clothes off: Did you wet / soil your clothing because they were stuck? You can take a look at my other polls too.

Since to my surprise a number of people specified they'd like their dream overalls locking, I added a new poll to explore that some more: your dream overalls that are locking.

Note that MisterPoll apparently considers the subject of locking overalls adult, so you need to disable Safe Mode, but the poll doesn't contain any explicit language or adult content.

Interesting: 2 people answered they would tell of their experiences on the message board, but no messages yet.

Well, let me go first then and tell you of my experiences. These 2 happened a long time ago, when I was a teenager in the 80s. I had developed a liking for overalls and jumpsuits, and I sometimes went into stores to look and, when it could be done low-key, even try them on in a fitting booth. (As a boy most of the clothing I wanted to try was for girls, not because I wanted to cross-dress, but simply because there weren't many overalls and jumpsuits for boys around.)

The first time that I was stuck I had found a girls corduroy jumpsuit with a front zipper, but the largest size available was one size smaller than I would normally wear. I decided to give it a go anyhow, and with some pulling I managed to get into it. But when I wanted to take it off again, I found out that while putting it on you have some leverage to get it over your shoulders, but the other way around was much harder. When I hadn't succeeded after 5 minutes I slightly began to panic and didn't know what to do. In the end after some further struggling I finally managed to get it over the first shoulder, and from then on it was easy. So in the end I managed to leave without anyone the wiser.

The second time was in a second hand store when it was raining pretty hard, and I pretended to be bored waiting for the rain to stop, and just give some of the outfits a try. I was the only customer, but the male owner didn't seem to mind much one way or another. I had already tried several ones when disaster struck. It happened on a cotton romper (short legs jumpsuit) with a halter top (strap around the back of the neck) and a back zipper. The back zipper wasn't that hard to reach because the upper part of the back was bare (as happens often with halter tops). But when I tried to take it off, the zipper broke: the fabric next to the plastic coils tore and I could not get the zipper pull past it. The tear was at the small of my back, and I couldn't pull the romper down over my hips. Again some panic, shame for having wrecked the romper, and fear for having to ask the owner for help. Luckily after more trying I finally managed to get the zipper pull beyond the tear and could take it off again, so another lucky escape. (I hung the romper back on the rack as if nothing happened - not very nice I realize now, but at the time I was just glad to get away.)

So, please tell me of your experiences too please.
